Welcome to the Edens Lost & Found Action Guide for the Chicago region! Edens Lost & Found is a special four-part PBS series premiering in winter 2006. It highlights practical solutions and models for sustainable urban transformation in four American cities: Chicago, Seattle, Philadelphia and Los Angeles.

While Edens Lost & Found highlights the work of a handful of notable organizations, we all have a role to play in making sure that the Chicago region provides a nurturing environment to all its species—including us humans. The Action Guide, therefore, will help you learn about what you can do to make the Chicago region more sustainable. It will put you in touch with a diverse set of organizations working across the region to advance urban sustainability and tell you how you can support their efforts. We hope it inspires you to get involved in making this region a leader in demonstrating that urbanism and environmental sustainability can go hand-in-hand.
